still plan to stick by him
in these troubling times

The Civil War of the United States was waged from April 12, 1861 to April 9, 1865.

It had a duration of 1,458 days.

It was a long and bloody war because the enemy – either one – could NOT retreat (hold this thought).

Somewhat more recently, Baghdad fell to Coalition forces on about April 3, 2003.

The Iraq War will become a longer war than the US Civil War in
 days,  hours,  minutes,  seconds.
